The heads of most of America's biggest technology companies will be meeting with President-elect Donald Trump this Wednesday, in an effort to look for common ground after exceptionally heated and contentious election.
And while that group of executives — which will include Apple CEO Tim Cook, Alphabet CEO Larry Page and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg — will no doubt have a lot they want to talk about, a source close to Trump's transition team told CNBC that, officially, the meeting will focus on two key agenda items.
Those items, said the source, are U.S.-focused job creation, and how these tech firms can work with government to improve efficiency.
The meeting, scheduled to be in New York, could also include matters close to Silicon Valley's heart, like immigration, climate change, and tax repatriation, but are not on the official agenda.
Other executives expected to attend include Oracle co-CEO Safra Catz, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and venture capitalist and mega-Trump supporter Peter Thiel.
